My Home

Here are some great pictures of Lake Champlain I took yesterday. It was such a beautiful day, awesome blue sky and a wonderful time for me to explore downtown Burlington and the lake shore a little bit. It is already getting colder though. The temperature dips down into the 40's at night and only reaches the 70's during the day. Guess I need to get my winter clothes ready.

Here is my home for now. Two rooms, living area and kitchen and then bedroom and bath. Looks pretty homey huh? It's not bad at all, and it's free.

Mount Hunger

So, I've finished my first week of work and today I went hiking. Mount Hunger was my first conquest, elevation 3,539 ft. It was a beautiful day for a climb, and quite a steep hike. Check out the view below.

Here's a picture of me, so you all won't forget what I look like. :)

I feel like I'm in Oregon

So, it was 90 or so back home today and I enjoyed a day in the 50's and rainy. Sounds a bit like Oregon winters huh? Well here is a picture of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks in the background. It is so lush and green here and the trees are plentiful. Tomorrow is my first day of work, so I'll see what the hospital is like. Three days of orientation and then I'm on my own. More to come...

Last stop...

My good friend, Sarah, just moved to Pennsylvania with her husband. It was fun to see her new place and of course I had to go hiking somewhere...See a theme in my life guys?? So we went to Lake Arthur in Moraine State Park.

Lake Arthur. Beautiful and much different than Oregon.

One night in a Chicago, and then off to Pennsylvania! Beautiful city, rainy day!

Illinois!

Greetings everyone!! I've made it to Lake Bluff, Illinois which is about an hour North of Chicago. Today I went walking to see a glimpse of Lake Michigan. It is humid outside, more than I'm used to in Oregon! Tonight Elia and I are off to the Chicago for some fun.

So, to the mile-high city of Denver to visit my friend Jessica. We had nice weather, a little thunder and lightening the first night, but not too much rain. We went hiking on Sunday up to St. Mary's Glacier in the Rockies

UTAH!!

Alright everyone, I'm finally on my way to Vermont. I'll be driving all this next week, visiting three good friends in Denver, Chicago, and Pennsylvania. So with those three stops, the drive shouldn't be too long, right??

The sunset tonight.

Here are the men guarding my car day and night. My wonderful family decorated before I left. :)

Here are the beautiful mountains of Utah.

Enjoying my freedom...

So, not working has many advantages. I've just spend the last four days backpacking. The weather was nice, my dogs got to go, and the bugs were only bad two out of the four days! A few more weeks and I'll be off to Vermont.

Well, I've finally finished working at Salem Hospital and now have a few weeks off before moving to Vermont. I'm trying to enjoy myself and the beautiful state of Oregon. Today was Triangulation Peak and Boca Cave with a great view of Mt. Jefferson. I'll try and post a picture if I can get it to work.
