Back to the Glacier!

On Sunday a bunch of us walked out on the frozen lake again to the glacier. It was a beautiful day, but way too cold!!! 8 degrees I think, with a wind chill easily below zero.



It was a lot of fun, with a good group of people. From the left, my roommate Erin, Gina, LeAnn, Crystal and I in front of Mendenhall Glacier.

My new home in Juneau

Home sweet home in Juneau, Alaska. Finally made it back and with Internet I can finally connect with the world a little more. We've had a bunch of wonderful snowy days, but then the rain had to come and ruin it all. And let me tell you, the rain in Juneau, right after a snowfall? not very fun. The parking lots are sheets of ice with a few inches of slush right on top. So if you don't slip and fall, you're more than likely going to get your shoes very wet. Which is why rubber boots are so popular here. Here is a picture of my apartment, living with my good friends, Erin and Rachel. We are in the apartment on the end, with my Chevy out in front. More pictures to come later...it may even be clear tomorrow!

Here is Benjamen, hard to believe he is finally 8 years old! I'm so lucky to be an aunt of so many! The oldest and right below the youngest member of the Buck family; Gwyndolyn. She is a beauty!
